1930 City Lodge is a small hotel in Porto, Portugal, which became popular due to its stylish rustic Interior. The boutique hotel offers its guests a comfortable stay in the heart of the old town – and the three small apartments and two double rooms are busy almost year-round.
The owners hired the talented architect by Ren Pepe Arquitectos with the task to renovate the hotel in Porto. And while the façade with great attention was restored, the architects decided to completely redesign the Interior. Several interior walls were torn down and the ground floor was converted to a cozy living room with adjoining kitchen. The narrow space posed a significant challenge–ultimately the Interior should be inviting and will at the same time comfortably furnished. That’s why they have decided for a contemporary minimalist décor.
The clean lines of the furniture pieces create a stylish ambience and the use of natural materials loosens up the rigor of the purist forms. Wood and natural stone form a delightful Ensemble and create a cosy atmosphere. The white walls provide the perfect backdrop for the simple rustic furnishings and make the room seem brighter and more spacious. In addition, multiple roof window have been made, the even more light in the bed and let. On decoration the interior designers have avoided nearly completely – only several black and white photos of old town decorate the walls. In Porto, this hotel is an excellent example that even small rooms modern and comfortable can be set up.
