The restaurant is designed with organic forms of wood, Taiwan

The architecture firm WEIJENBERG have worked together with Chef André Chiang to create the RAW, a modern restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan.
The project to design a new restaurant in Taipei began at the end of 2013, quickly became evident that vivid gastronomy from the imagination of Andre combined with the artistic vision of WEIJENBERG would set the path to create a modern restaurant and reflect the visceral, primitive nature of his namesake ‘RAW’.

The design of the restaurant has a parallel story about how the food of chef Andre can be experienced. To be able to dine at the restaurant should go through a wood road which leads to a quiet lounge designed for people the feeling of a trip and create a smooth transition from the bustling streets of Taipei.
The angles of the wooden structures are soft, organically carved receive guests, in the Center a large wooden structure is combined to form the centerpiece of RAW that surrounds the central dining area.
